Can anyone tell me about ooma telo voip phone systems?
We are seniors assiduously working to lower our utility costs. This phone system is supposed to plug into our internet connection and we would have no phone bills for local or long distance calls. Has anyone used this or know anyone who has used it and with what results. Any info is welcome and appreciated.
On paper, it looks good. It isn't. You get to pay $250 to buy the box...and, if you don't want a 2nd line, voice mail, and a few other features, you only have to pay $12 or so a year. The problem is, that if you want those features, you'll have to pay another $100 a year. Not very "free".
My choice would be Phone Power. You can prepay for 2 years at $200 plus the cost of the Analog Terminal Adapter (about $80) and get the same "free" service for 2 years.
Oh wait, six of one, 1/2 dozen of the other
