What is the difference between a tri band and quad band phone??
I'm looking to buy a new phone and confused about the above.
The phone I would like is a tri band. What countries would I have problems with the phone (incl caribbean) and does it really matter??
a quad band phone you can used under any format in the world. the tri band phone you can use that only in certain parts of the globe. as far as cell phones go. b/c certain developing countries are still using the "archaic" tdma format. w/the quad band phone you can take out your gsm chip and put in a new one to use in whatever country but you would have to check in which country can you use a tri band phone.
