Tarot Journaling

Your tarot journal holds a lot of valuable information .....

If you're serious about tarot and tarot readings, then one of the most important things you can do is keep a tarot journal. Don't worry if you're not someone who loves to write - keeping this kind of journal is more of a journey.

You'll find many articles giving you advice on what sort of journal you should keep, what you should write in it and how often .... but it all boils down to how YOU want to journal. It's a very personal thing and there's no right or wrong way to go about things.

Here, I've just jotted down some ideas which I use myself and which you might find useful. Feel free to use or discard them as you see fit:

  1. Keep a tarot journal with one page dedicated to each card
  2. Write down all the meanings which you connect for each card
  3. Choose one meaning, one key word or a phrase for each card
  4. Read this meaning many times so it becomes ingrained in your subconscious
  5. Make up a cheat sheet and do practice readings
  6. Feel free to change the meaning of any card
  7. Make sure you let your subconscious know about these changes!

Your journal is unique to you - what you put in it is down to you. You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you wish. You may want to add images or drawings; I do that with my own journals. I like to put images of the actual cards to reinforce their meanings.

It's useful to date your entries, even if you're only adding a new keyword or phrase. Being able to look back over the years at your entries is fascinating and gives you a deeper insight into the depth of tarot and your readings.

Keep your journal away from prying eyes if you don't like the idea of anyone reading your inner thoughts. Privacy means you can open up in what you write, without worrying about what others may think.

Having a unique tarot journal is one of the special joys of working with tarot .....

help with my computer problem?

ok.. recently.. my Nvidia graphics card messed up shortly after updateing its drivers.... so i had to take it out and switch back to he onboard graphics card... my problem is though... when i turn on my computer and it loads up.. i can a black screen that had info about pheonix ltd or soemthing like that... what ever company it is blah blah blah... but the thing is... it says it cant find Drive 1 serial Ata, SATA-2 or drive 3 parallel ATA, PATA-1 (PRI IDE SLAVE) (below that it says press f1 to continue of f2 to run setup).... what does this mean exactly and how can i fix it?
also i had my comp upgraded awile back and got more memory on it.. its suposed to have like 168 gigs... but its only showing my hardrive has 37.2 gigs... does that black error screen have anything to do with that?

EDIT: DO NOT REFORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVE YET. VERY VERY UNLIKELY THAT IS THE ISSUE. Because the black screen has nothing to do with the operating system.

Original:

It sounds to me like you may have loosened the connections for the drives when you removed the video card. Also, did you go into the bios and make sure the video used is the onboard.

The black screen isn't really an error screen per say, it is just the bios and information screen. You can fix it by making sure all your connections are secure inside the computer and then entering the bios and exiting the bios with saving the changes, even if you haven't made any.

When you say memory, you mean hard drive. It seems that it isn't recognizing the new drive. It is still recognizing only a 40 gig drive that was probably already in the system. It will show as a different drive letter because you probably have both in your system

If you don't have more than one drive, then you got scammed. They said they installed a new one but they didn't. Pretty sure there is more than one though. No, the black screen has nothing to do with it.

Now, if you are a basic, novice user with systems, I really do not recommend you going into the bios. You should try to get a friend or colleague that might be more experienced with PC issues to help you.

If none of this works, you may have damaged your motherboard when you removed the video card or they installed the new hard drive. Doubt this is the issue but it's always a possibility.
