I have a Polycom SoundPoint 330 phone that I plugged into my router switch to use it, but how do I acctually pay for it? what if I call overseas from it, what charges will apply?
You pay a VoIP provider - like Skype - who can transfer your call through normal switches.
Your local phone company may also have VoiP plans (Check with Verizon, At&T, etc.)
