Is Wanatel difficult to use?
No, Wanatel is in fact very simple. All you have to do is connect your telephone to your high-speed Internet connection using the Wanatel phone adapter (WanaBox or other VoIP sytems or devices that are compatible). Now all you need to do is to operate your phone as you usually would.
How does it work?
On answering your phone, your voice is converted into data by the Wanatel phone adapter and sends it through the Internet like it would an email. Our network then sends the call to its destination and translates it back into your voice, essentially the sound is as crisp as any other phone call. When someone calls you, they will operate their phone in the same way that they always have and the call will sound the same to them as well.

do i get charged for answering a courtesy call?
using maybe VoIp gateway carrier..do i get charged for incoming courtesy call?
With cingular I don't, but usually they will just send a voice mail instead of speaking to someone. Next time they call ask them that and let them know if charged you will not answer their call unless it is free. Always watch for hidden fees...K
