ABOUT US

Internet Math teaches and reviews math word problems grades 1 - 8 from the internet. This allows students, teachers, and parents to begin work at one location and continue from any other location. Students and parents can choose their own problems from any location or teachers can create lessons for every student in their class.

Diagnostic tests are available to determine levels, strengths and weaknesses, and generate remedial problems. Problems can also be chosen by any of a variety of categories.

Each problem is accompanied by a series of visual hints that teach a student how to solve the problem. To insure that the concept is learned and answers are not memorized, each problem has many random variations which means that there are thousands and thousands of possible answers. In addition, each time the problem changes, the hints which help a student visualize the problem and answer also change. Topics covered include:

  • Whole numbers (add, subt, mult, divide).
  • Decimals (add, subt, mult, divide).
  • Fractions (add, subt, mult, divide).

      Teacher/Group Manager

Students are assigned to a class or group by a teacher/group manager. Once a student is assigned, the student can begin Internet Math by entering his name and password. The student can then create his own problems or work on the problems assigned by the teacher.
