sure about router adapter thingy, so at that point I guess as a whole your modem+router is not giving desired performance. In many situation firmware upgrade is a very good solution and it appears that you've already done that step. If after upgrading the firmware, the performance of your modem+router has become worse then definitely there's some mistake either choosing the right firmware or in firmware upgrading process. Please keep in mind that choosing the wrong firmware may fail your hardware permanently. If after successful firmware upgrade you aren't getting desired performance, you may want to post some config. info. of your modem+router so someone can diagnose that.
In response to your alternate modem+router query, I've two BSNL provided Nokia Siemens, one Netgear, one D-Link and one Linksys modem+routerI'm not much sure about router adapter thingy, so at that point I guess I'm not much sure about router adapter thingy, so at that point I guess as a whole your modem+router is not giving desired performance. In response to your alternate modem+router query, I've two BSNL provided Nokia Siemens, one Netgear, one D-Link and one Linksys modem+router (I keep 5 different hardware just to make a fail-safe system, may be little weird). If cost of hardware is not an issue for you then Linksys is the best among them. Rest are almost at per. Though I face a big transport issue with D-Link one. Few of my frequently visited websites (like boxofficemojo) always stuck forever just after resolving the domain. But I guess the fault is with that specific piece, and since I almost never use that one so I've never bothered to send it for warranty.as a whole your modem+router is not giving desired performance. how do you connect a 2nd pc to a wireless router with a Wireless USB adapter?
I have a home computer which is connected to a router. I have a second pc in my room and I have a wireless usb adapter for it. How do I get it to work? I downloaded the software for the wireless usb adapter, and the router was found, but it will not connect. Do I need to manually do it somehow? HELP!
You might need to open your NAT settings on your router. I had the same problem. NAT settings block computers, ipod touch, xboxs, ps3 and everything else with wifi until you open the settings.
